Before the solo records and major-label opportunities, Hush first made his mark as one half of the influential Detroit hip-hop group Da Ruckus alongside longtime partner Uncle ILL. Together, Da Ruckus became known throughout the city for their gritty lyricism, explosive live performances, and relentless work ethic during a pivotal era in Detroit’s underground rap scene. Grinding through showcases, local television appearances, independent releases, street promotion, and countless performances, Da Ruckus helped build a foundation that would later open doors for Hush’s solo career.
